Who we are
Ever Shots (previously known as Moment) is made by Ever Shots Memory Co. (“Ever Shots,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers the Ever Shots mobile app and evershots.app, including the pages guests use to join a Film without installing the app.
Information we collect
Account & sign-in.Ever Shots doesn't have its own passwords. When you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider shares your name, email address, and a unique account identifier with us so we can create your Ever Shots account and recognize you on future visits.
Content you capture. The photos and videos you take inside a Film or Album, and the metadata attached to the original file (such as the time taken, and location if your device provides it). We keep your original files — we don't generate or store separate filtered copies.
Film, Album & guest details.Information you enter to set up a Film or Album — titles, dates, reveal schedule, cover image — and information guests provide to join one, such as the name they enter and which shots they contributed.
Purchase information. When you buy a guest-tier upgrade or storage add-on, Apple or Google handles the transaction directly — see “Payments & refunds” below. We receive a purchase/transaction record (not your card details) so we can confirm the purchase and unlock what you paid for.
Technical information. Limited data needed to operate uploads and keep your device in sync with a Film or Album, such as app version and device type.
How we use this information
- To create and run your Films and Albums, including delayed and scheduled reveals.
- To upload, store, and sync your original photos and video across your devices.
- To verify purchases and unlock the guest capacity or storage you paid for.
- To let hosts and invited guests collaborate inside the same Film or Album.
- To provide support when you contact us.
How we store your content
Photos and video you capture are uploaded directly from your device to Cloudflare R2 (our storage and CDN provider) using signed, short-lived upload URLs — your media never passes through a server we run in between. On your device, Ever Shots keeps a local offline queue so captures taken without a connection upload reliably once you're back online.
We store your original files, with their metadata intact, for as long as the Film or Album exists on your account — we don't keep a separate archive of edited or filtered versions.
Third parties we use
We don't sell your personal information. We share limited information with the following providers, only to run the service:
- Cloudflare R2 — stores your original photos and video and serves them over our CDN.
- RevenueCat — records and verifies in-app purchases on our behalf.
- Google and Apple — handle sign-in, and, separately, all billing for in-app purchases.
Payments & refunds
Every paid upgrade in Ever Shots — guest-tier upgrades on a Film, storage add-ons on an Album — is billed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store), depending on which store you downloaded Ever Shots from. We never see or store your card details, and we do not process payments or refunds ourselves.
To request a refund, you'll need to go through the store you purchased from:
- Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, or request a refund from Settings → your name → Media & Purchases on your device.
- Google:open the Google Play Store → Menu → Order history, find the purchase, and select “Request a refund.”
Apple and Google decide refund eligibility under their own policies. If a mistaken or duplicate charge left your Film or Album in the wrong state, contact us at [email protected] and we'll help sort out the Ever Shots side of it.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account, Films, Albums, and the media inside them until you delete them or ask us to. You can delete your account directly in the app, from Settings → Delete Account. Doing so starts a 15-day grace period — your account and content stay exactly as they are during that window, so you have time to change your mind or export anything you want to keep. You can cancel at any point in those 15 days, either from Settings or just by signing back in. Once the 15 days pass, your account, every Film and Album you own, and every photo or video you've uploaded is permanently deleted.
Prefer not to use the app, or can't sign in? Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll start the same deletion process for you.
We may keep a limited record of a purchase (such as a transaction ID) after an account is deleted, where needed to prevent fraud or meet a legal obligation — never to keep your photos or video.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses of it. You can exercise any of these by emailing [email protected].
Children's privacy
Ever Shots is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account or appears in content without appropriate consent, contact us and we'll address it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
